A tiny airplane flies across the small painting熔r is it a photograph?熔f blue sky in the middle of the frame. If you watch carefully for a brief period, you will see the contrails left behind by the airplane. But if you want a closer look and move your face nearer to the image, the contrails disappear. This is an interactive work in which participant and work affect each other. It is, however, the opposite of the usual interactive work: if the participant responds to the work, the work disappears. Look at the sky outside the gallery window! ASANO Kohei Profile ASANO Kohei creates works that embody the concepts of communication, interaction, and community, producing frames in which, via the works, people are reminded of their relationships with other people. He searches for ways to use interactive elements to create works that are easy for more people to relate to.
