Michiko TSUDA’s works take various forms such as installation, performance, and video implying an invisible presence wavering in response to the appreciator's perspective and behavior.
Exhibitions include the solo show “Trilogue” (TARO NASU, Tokyo, 2020), and the group exhibition “10th Asia Pacific Triennial” (QAGOMA, Brisbane, 2021), “Inter+Play Part 1” (Towada Art Center, Aomori, 2020), “Aichi Triennale 2019” (Ito Residence, 2019). She received her Ph.D. in Film and New Media Studies from Tokyo University of the Arts in 2013, received a grant from the Asian Cultural Council (ACC) for a 6-month residency in New York in 2019, is now an associate professor at Kanazawa College of Art, Faculty of Art from 2021, and received the Tokyo Contemporary Art Award 2022-2024.
