Outline

We are now facing an age in which students are making full use of the computer as a creative tool, communication device, and database over the literacy of the teacher. Specialists were invited to a public roundtable to discuss how educational activities are being transformed through the computer and the network. Participants included ANZAI Toshihiro, who is deeply involved in the network, SAKANE Itsuo, the principal of the International Academy of Media Arts and Sciences (IAMAS) in Gifu, NONOMURA Fumihiro, who is in charge of the network section of Inter Medium Institute Graduate School (IMI) in Osaka, FUJIHATA Masaki, associate professor at Keio University, Faculty of Environmental Information, ITOH Toshiharu, professor at Tama Art University, and UTADA Akihiro, who planned and executed NewSchool’95.
