The sign language of “Hello” in Japanese is expressed by bending two index fingers as if two people were bowing to each other. Sign language is an expression using hands which is visually conveyed, and it reflects the person’s mood, emotions, intonation and character, similar to the person’s voice. In this system, when the user gestures “Hello” in sign language, the mirror presents the phrase in various shapes according to the user’s movement detected by the camera. By experiencing individuality through the movement of hands we propose the reinterpretation of sign language and the new discovery of one’s self.
