Born 1984 in Gifu. Has been revisiting old existing techniques and media, with a focus on phenomena that emerge out of their combination with present-day technologies, and on the relationship between physical and digital. Most representative of his creative work is the “toki-” series of time sculptures made with a 3-D printer. Next to frequently exhibiting his works at museums and media art festivals in Japan and abroad, he works as a Senior Lecturer at Musashino Art University’s Department of Visual Communication Design.
