Will technology bring evolution to art ? Or will it bring nothing but new design?
In each historical period, art as well as technology is transformed through the needs and drives of society. Media art has continually raced to the unexplored frontier of art by affirmatively taking up the latest technology of its time.
But is it impossible for familiar technology to become a futuristic tool of expression? Or on the contrary, can't we imagine that the latest technology would express nostalgic landscapes?
Media technology from computers to electronic networks is certainly reducing the distance between the real world and art. At a time when our eyes are just getting used to these media, we will reconsider the relation that has occurred until now between art and technology from a new perspective attempting to conceptualize the future of media art.
