Artists

KAKEHI Yasuaki

Born in Kyoto, Japan in 1979 and is an interactive media researcher, designer and associate professor in the Faculty of Environmental Information at Keio University. He received his Ph. D. in Interdisciplinary Information Studies and currently develops interactive media that extends the body, tools, and communication by merging the characteristics of human senses or physical material with digital information. He is devoted to activities across the fields of engineering, art and design. He has attended exhibitions such as ACM SIGGRAPH and Ars Electronica Festival and received the Fiscal 2014 Commendation for Science and Technology by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, in the category of Young Scientists' Prize and the Good Design Award 2012 BEST 100. In addition, he is also a member of the art unit plaplax, and initiates the potential of development for media technology/representation, mainly in the commercial field.


YAMAOKA Junichi

Born in 1988. Yasuaki Kakehi Laboratory, Keio University.


KOBARA Wataru

Born in Hiroshima, Japan in 1987. Yasuaki Kakehi Laboratory, Keio University.


CHIKAMORI Motoshi

Born in 1971 in Tokyo, Japan. M.A, Design (Plastic Arts and Mixed Media Department), University of Tsukuba, Japan. Exhibited at "Ars Electronica '97" (Linz), "SIGGRAPH '98" (Orlando), etc. In 1998 awarded the Grand Prix of the Interactive Digital Arts Section, Media Arts Festival, Agency for Cultural Affairs.
