Workshop “Let’s Go and Find the Sounds of Technology”

August 20 and 21, 2010, 1:00pm–4:00pm *on each day

Outline

In the workshop you will make a “Technophone” that enables you to hear the sounds of technology all around you that you normally would not hear. After your “Technophone” is finished, you will take it on an adventure to discover what sounds you can actually hear from electrical appliances in ICC gallery.

Date: August 20 and 21, 2010, 1:00pm–4:00pm *on each day
Venue: ICC 4F Special Space, around Tokyo Opera City
Capacity: 10 pairs (20 persons) per session (advance application required; a lottery will be held in the case that the number of applicants exceeds the places available)
Target participants: Children of upper elementary school age or above (elementary school and junior high school children must be accompanied by an adult)
Admission fee: 1,500 Yen per pair (for the work kit)

Application period: Monday, August 2–Thursday 12, 2010 (18:00 pm)
