A work from the “Sprout of Sound” series made using a group of small speakers. In the title “Sprout,” the words “SP OUT,” which is an abbreviation for “speaker out,” are also hidden. The series’ first work released at the former Bunkamura Studio in March, 2024, was developed further for the “evala: Emerging Site / Disappearing Sight” exhibition. A large number of original speakers, each shaped differently, were produced. Visitors can walk around freely inside the installation, and will be enveloped with space filled with the presence of new lives that sometimes feels like many individual beings and at other times feels like one group.
