“Pega-Pega” [2004]

Claudio PINHANEZ + Mark PODLASECK

“Pega-Pega”

Outline

The virtual “frog” in the exhibition space runs away as the viewer gets close to it, and will never be caught. “Pega-Pega” is the "game of tag," the most common children's game in the world, but extended with the latest technology.

This work was created based on research titled “Everywhere Interactive Display.” Aiming to change the entire space into an interactive information system by using video projectors and cameras, the research explores new ways to display/manipulate information in a way closer to the conditions in life, beyond the “frame” of computer monitors.
