Duo of artists Joan HEEMSKERK and Dirk PAESMANS. Through such works as the jodi.org website that has been repeatedly updated time and again since its launch in 1995, JODI established their reputation as pioneers of net art. They utilize computers and the Internet itself as media, and expose the social structures that support these by exciting behavior that would never occur through their conventional ways of use. In recent years, JODI operate also in such offline fields as software art and video game MOD (modification).
