Born in Tokyo in 1958, Higashiizumi withdrew from the Waseda University School of Engineering to earn a degree from the Tama Art University. A principal in Higraph, he has been active mainly as a graphic designer but recently has been involved in film and video and, as one of the Sensorium directors, in network-based projects. He is currently preparing to launch his misicismusic music label and to publish a book.
