MOHRI Yuko employs unique mechanical structures to create organically and humorously composed spatial installations. Without distinguishing between organic and inorganic, she incorporates in her works computers with system errors, motor-driven musical instruments, or electrical signals from cactuses. The resulting mechanical spaces constructed by way of unusual methods and visions produce at once sceneries with an organic touch.
"fort-da," a new work created for this exhibition, is themed on moving back and forth between the interior and exterior of the exhibition space.
