In the metal frame of the revolving globe, there is a character covered by a piece of cloth. A hand separated from the body dangles a carrot and an arm spreads out a book and an eye chart, but the character cannot clearly see these movements around him. The meaning of the title, "you are certainly not alone," involves a sarcastic comment of the artist on this situation. Arms and hands are images that often appear in Barsamian 's sculptures. The hand is one of the most expressive parts of the human body and a symbol of human action. It also appears in other Barsamian works like ≪Mother May I≫,"Dipping Digits (Always Gets Wet)" and "Two Step".
