IThis work was created as a sarcastic response to the Gulf War news coverage. During the war, news-media offered the "gaudy high tech weapons and emotional reports" to viewers. Barsamian says, "I was hooked, fascinated and disgusted that I was fascinated." By definition, "Coprophagia" means "to eat excrement." It expresses the massive amount of information excreted by the media that people are forced to eat.
