Artists

NAGATA Kosuke

Born 1990 in Aichi. Is presently enrolled at the Graduate School of Film and New Media Doctoral Programs, Tokyo University of the Arts. Has been creating works to emphasize the presence of devices that are increasingly erased from our consciousness, in a variety of formats including photographs made with a focus on software as a tool instead of a camera; installations based on the conditional manipulation of viewing behavior; and complex internal/external structures interfering with the monitor’s function as a support medium for still or moving images. Participated in group exhibitions such as The Yebisu International Festival for Art & Alternative Visions 2018 at the Tokyo Photographic Art Museum.
