Artists

YUAN Goang-Ming

Born 1965 in Taipei, Taiwan. Pioneer of video art in Taiwan. Received a master’s degree in media art from the Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design (Germany) in 1997, and currently holds a post as assistant professor at the Taipei National University of the Arts, Department of New Media Art. Realized by various methods and techniques, his video works inspire deep contemplation in the viewer. His international activities include displays at the ICC Biennale (1997), Gwangju Biennale (2002), the Taiwanese pavilion at the Venice Biennale (2003), Singapore Biennale (2008), and Lyon Biennale (2015) among others.
