Aura SATZ

Born 1974 in Barcelona. Is presently based in London. The works she creates a based on the relationship between the physical acoustic characteristics of such technologies as record grooves, dial tones or hand-drawn optical soundtracks, and notation in the form of language or codes. Inspired by her interest in the contributions of women in the fields of science, technology and labor that have been excluded from historical accounts, she creates her works based on related research. Her creative activities further include numerous collaborations with filmmakers and musicians.
