Artists

FUJIMOTO Yukio

Born 1950. Started creating devices focusing on “sound” within everyday life, sound objects and other works in the mid-1980s, and continues to explore new forms of acoustic perception through the experience of sound in installations, performances and workshops. He has been participating in numerous exhibitions at museums and events in Japan and abroad, including the Venice Biennale 2001 and 2007. In recent years, he has been involved in the “phono/graph” project creating artworks based on investigations into the relationships between “sounds, letters and graphics.”
