Artists

KANNO So + yang02

Started producing artworks together in 2011. Their “SENSELESS DRAWING BOT,” a drawing machine utilizing the chaotic movement of a duplex pendulum to reproduce graffiti writings, received a New Face Award in the Art Division at the JAPAN MEDIA ARTS FESTIVAL 2012. At the Sapporo International Art Festival (2014) they introduced the “SEMI-SENSELESS DRAWING MODULES (SDM)” for drawing based on temperature, humidity and motion data detected by sensors.


SEKIGUCHI Atsuhito

Professor, Aichi University of the Arts. Born in Tokyo, Japan in 1958. Graduated with a degree (M.A.) in fine arts from Tokyo University of the Arts in 1983. Worked at artist-in-residence at Cite de Salle in 1991, sponsored by the city of Paris. Professor at Institute of Advanced Media Arts and Sciences(IAMAS) (1996-2013). His selected exhibitions and recent works include: "Input Output"(1996), "Le Siecle du Design"(1997), "Rotator-Laugh"(1997), "Degital Art Splash"(1998), "Personalized Inner Sight"(1999), "Autopoiesis [tentative title]"(1999).
