“Fruit Machine” [1991]

Jeffrey SHAW, Agnes HEGEDUS

Outline

In this work, several visitors use joysticks to put together parts of a graphic image that is positioned in a three-dimensional space. During the exhibition period, a network event called “Televirtual Fruit Machine” was also held, in which an international ISDN provided a connection with The Center for Art and Media Technology Karlsruhe (ZKM) in Germany and viewers from both sites communicated to form the three-dimensional CG picture together.
