“Drawing” is a familiar creative activity to everyone. In this research, we developed a digitally controlled compass interface to draw various shapes in simple actions on paper. In addition, this interface augments the compass’s ability to “take measurements” of objects to accomplish a copy and paste function in the real world. By seamlessly integrating computer support into common tools, we aim to enrich the process of drawing on real paper.
