TERADA Naoki, born in 1967, graduated from the Architectural Department, School of Science and Technology, Meiji University in 1989, and the Architectural Association School of Architecture in 1994, in London, U.K. Returning to Japan, he established TERADA Design Architects in 2003, practicing architectural exterior and interior, furniture, product, and signage design. He founded TERADA MOKEI in 2011 to release editions of “1/100 Architectural Model Accessories Series.”
He currently teaches part-time at Meiji University, Showa Women’s University, and Musashino Art University. He writes the popular “TERADA PLASTIC MODEL CULTURAL THEORY” column in “Real Design”magazine. His many awards include the Architectural Institute of Japan Selected Architectural Designs (the Senzoku Gakuen College of Music Black Hall) and the Good Design Award (for Carved, and Hokka-Ido, both installations in United Cinema Maebashi).
