Mischa KUBALL (b. Düsseldorf, Germany, 1959, resident in Düsseldorf). Since the 1980s Mischa KUBALL has consistently created dynamic possibilities for this medium known as "light", extending into space and society, through installations using slide projectors, or in site-specific projects in public spaces. His work in installation, photography, and public art questions active and interactive light, recreating the body, its senses, and social relations. In 1999 he realized his first contemporary art project at the Tokyo National Museum, the oldest museum in Japan. He has a solo exhibition at the Toyota Municipal Museum of Art from October 28 to December 25, 2008.
