Max EASTLEY

Profile

Born in 1944 in Torquay, England. First studied sculpture; has subsequently explored the relationship between music and sight, creating works with kinetic sound machines that are motor driven or that rely on the environmental forces of nature. In 1975 he released the album "New and rediscovered musical instruments" in collaboration with David Toop, produced by Brian Eno. Has participated in numerous exhibitions including Ars Electronica (Linz, Austria) in 1989, the 3rd International Biennale in Nagoya -- ARTEC '93, and NIGHT SPIRITS (Xebec, Kobe) in 1993.
