Born in 1976. Completed Architecture and Urban Design Course, Graduate School of Media and Governance, Keio University. With a fellowship of Japanese Government Overseas Study Program for Artists provided by the Agency for Cultural Affairs, joined the MVRDV (Netherlands) as a residence staff. After working at Shigeru Ban Architects, he founded his own firm Yuusuke Karasawa Architects. He explores architecture and urban space by employing information theory and algorithmic thinking. He contributed to the magazine "10+1" as guest editor in issue No.48, featuring "Algorithmic Thinking and Architecture" (INAX Publishing, 2007).
