ICC Kids Program 2011 Trans-scale: Changing our frames of reference

TERADA Naoki "The world of 1/100" 2011

TERADA reproduces our daily surroundings at 1/100 scale, using landscape design models. There is an art to making them seem familiar - a balance of abbreviations and emphases in the forms. In making miniatures, you learn to maintain a control over the forms at scale, you enjoy building a reality, and the pleasure of the final effect. You can also tell stories through photographs using miniatures you have created. Animation Production: FUYAMA Taruto
