Foreword

On this occasion, in commemoration of the tenth ICC Open Space in 2015, we here at the NTT InterCommunication Center [ICC] produced a collection book: “OS10: A Perspective of Art and Media Technology—Documents of ICC OPEN SPACE 2006–2015.”
ICC Open Space was started in 2006 as part of the ICC’s renewal. Based on the ICC’s ideas for activities, it was opened as an establishment with the aim of presenting more people with art expressions utilizing advanced technology and the possibilities of communications culture. Since 2006, it has been in continuous operation, with exhibit content changed on a yearly basis.
Over these past ten years, we’ve been able to work with more than 140 artists as exhibitors to introduce many works of art and activities. We’ve also been able to see in these past ten years changes in various modern media technology environments. If this record of ten years of ICC Open Space becomes a document that captures these movements and trends, then all the better.
