Hajime TACHIBA's latest project, "SiNYO Beta" is an application to be used in conjunction with Adobe Illustrator software. This application is the algorythmic distillation of TACHIBANA's working environment in typography and graphic design, and as such, is being exhibited as a work of art in its own right. In IC '95 "on the Web," and in conjunction with TACHIBANA's concurrent solo exhibition, "Sinyo Beta" will be accessable on-line. First the user inputs a sequence of letters, then selects from the parameters available for a variety of effects and downloads their selection onto the server where the application transformation the data, and returns it to the access terminal as a signed, numbered work "by TACHIBANA Hajime."
