This song was composed to commemorate the first telephone link between New York and San Francisco, and was a big hit. The music and lyrics were by the song-writing team of Gene Buck and Louis Hirsh, and the song was recorded in June 1915 by the duet of Elida Morris and Sam Ash. The original recording was released by Columbia Records.
