The installation consists of the
following three interactive installations: Globus Oculi 1992-1993;
Flora Petrinsularis 1992; Album 1989-1995 (past and current works).
The framework for these installations is exclusively digital and interactive.
They combine stills, serialised and moving pictures, sounds, texts
and interactive commands. They are about learning, memory and biography;
about the way we relate to the world through words and pictures; about
data entry. They refer to pictorial, literary and philosophical traditions;
they study possible transitions between photography, cinematography
and new digital interactive programmes. They experiment with the beginnings
of the writing, the choreography and drama of interactive programmes.
Their purpose is simultaneously serious and ironical, didactic and
poetic. They enable the computer's virtual logic and sensitivity to
interact with the human logic and sensitivity of the audience.
