In French, software is described by the term "logiciel". The reason why I have used the term "logique" in this exhibition rather than "logiciel", whcih would be more in keeping with software, was because I also wanted to pursue a philosophical bent, such as that represented by Deleuze.

According to Jean Jacques Rousseau, people start developing a relationship between themselves and the world in infancy, using their senses.

The characteristics known as "digital" or "interactive" allow for the creation of a continuum between the artist and his work.
By using such techniques,it is possible to retrace the path from the work to the artist.
In other words, interactive devices transmit the artist's impressions to the reader, and simultaneously offers the opportunity for returning readers' impressions to the artist.

One area that I was interested in when creating these works was the various habits people use when reading.
In "Globus oculi", my goal was to make a catalog of these habits.
People learn how to read books just about the time they go to kindergarten.
Therefore, this device lets visitors view the work in the state of mind they were in when they were children and learned how to read.

The gap between reading (lecture) and viewing (spectacle) creates the possilbility of inconsistencies.
What I tried to do with "Album" was to see how these inconsistencies are resolved.
In other words, I tried to infuse books with an element of "viewing".

"Flora petrinsularis" is based on Jean-Jacques Rousseau's work "Confessions'.
The story unfolds based solely on a change in perspective.
The act of watching is most certainly not an innocent act.
Rather, watching involves an awareness of hesitation and guilt.
However, by watching through the computer, it is possible for the act of watching to achieve a level of purity.
