In recent years, multifarious projects in creation and education
based on the fusion of art with science and technology are underway
around the globe- searching from various perspectives for visions
of educational and creative activities appropriate to an age in
which computer, networking, and of course audio/visual technologies
are making rapid progress and coming into widespread use.
Interestingly, most of these projects are modeled in part on the
20th century mega-experimental environment--the Bauhaus. Founded
in 1919, this assembly of cross-genre multi-talents effected numerous
creative revolutions.
Ultimately, the Bauhaus integrated all forms of art in Bau (building),
aimed at the fusion of art and industry. On the threshold of the
21st century, however, " information space" via media
and the Internet is added to physical space creating a new form
of integration and transport space.
This exhibition probes the new challenges of education and creation
we are facing, such as collaborative creation and media method,
as explored from a variety of fields.
