"Space" between people has more significance in interpersonal
communication than mere physical "distance". In this work,
"distance" between the self and the others is made visible
and audible as an important parameter in communication. In the space
where the work is installed, participants' "presence" will
be represented by three-dimensional pulse sound triggered by each
participant's heartbeats and round "areas" flickering according
to his/her heartbeats. These pulse sound and areas will create phases
of various sounds and images, sometimes approaching one another and
sometimes intervening one another. Through the work, participants
will pull out various information hidden in the "space"
among the self and the others, as if they were enjoying a game. |
