Themed exhibition The 50 years of Arts & Communication Technology

Marshall McLUHAN, who would have turned 100 this year, noted "telegraph" as the first technology externalizing the central nerve system. "With the telegraph Western man began a process of putting his nerves outside his body," he said. This statement of decades ago now aptly applies to the present world of global networking.
This themed exhibition is comprised of documents, illustrations, video artWorks and interviews collected by ICC, and presents historical relationships between media technology and society, including media art that has existed as an interface.
