NTT InterCommunication Center [ICC]
is proud to present the exhibit The City as the Art Form of the Next
Millennium-ARAKAWA/GINS.
This exhibit at ICC follows upon ARAKAWA/GINS' works [Ubiquitous Site-Nagi's
Ryoanji- Architectural Body,] [Site of Reversible Destiny-Yoro Park,]
and their exhibit REVERSIBLE DESTINY-ARAKAWA/GINS, held at the Guggenheim
Museum Soho in 1997. It is our hope that the introduction of these
exciting developments, larg-scale urban design projects, will draw
national and international attention. A huge model of a city, approximately
eight-by-six-meters, will be presented in conjunction with an installation
which allows the visitor to experience the physical dynamics of the
artificial terrain. In addition, large computer graphics of ARAKAWA/GINS'
work-in-progress will also be displayed.
ARAKAWA/GINS' two films, which have not played in Japan for twenty-seven
years, will be shown in the ICC Theater. |
