Liquid and special fine grains are enclosed in a circular container
of fine glass, and various patterns and movements of the liquid are
produced. Rotation with the hand creates patterns of flow, and if
you stop the rotation gently, thermal convection creates forms like
wrinkles or cirrocumulus clouds. Touching the surface gives rise to
a difference in temperature, and hence a new change of patterns. |
