All of his films after "Viridiana", as well as "L'age d'or" and "Le chien andalou" were censored.

Description of incident

He was accused for his disrespectful treatment of religion. "Viridiana" also contained a rape scene and numerous prostitutes which were considered unacceptable.

Results of incident

The production company UNINCI was eliminated and Jose Munoz Fontan lost his job for not immediately censoring "Viridiana". The film "Viridiana" was not shown in Spain for sixteen years.
