Description of incident

The Committee for the Defense of the Revolution declared him "persona non grata", because for some time he gave room and board to people awaiting exit visas. He was placed under house arrest for 14 days.

Results of incident

In 1980 he left Cuba via Mariel to Key West, Florida. He now resides in San Francisco.
