Hoonida-Kim
At first glance, this work seems to be a space in which nothing is happening. Listen closely, however, and you will hear a familiar sound coming from an undefined source. If you draw close to try to find where the sound is coming from and actually put your ear to the work, a world will be born within your mind, an imaginary world removed from the space one is currently in. Creating that experience is the intention behind this work.
Hoonida-Kim Hoondia-Kim was born in 1976, graduated from the College of Art, Kookmin University, in Korea, majoring in sculpture, and studied media art in the master's program at Musashino Art University. He is now enrolled at the International Academy of Media Arts and Sciences (IAMAS) Dynamic Sensory Programming (DSP) course. He is active in creating installations and sound performances, mainly in Japan and Korea.
