This object art piece was designed in January, 2000 as a medium through which to consider questions of the value of money and art. Incidentally, in October 2000, I held a performance, using the new medium of the Q&A board system of the net auction, in which I considered the value of art and money along with the participants (of the auction). I hope that as a visitor to this exhibit you will begin to see the twin themes of one-on-one value negotiation (in the auction, the bidding) and information exchange between one individual and an unspecified number of individuals (the Q&A board). My experience with this Q&A session inspired me to think more deeply about the questions raised by this work of object art. I did not even meet the participants of the Q&A session, but I am still greatly indebted to them for the opportunity they provided me.
