Artists

NAKAYAMA Akiko

Completed studies at the Graduate School of Tokyo Zokei University in 2012. She is active as an artist who utilizes the energy of movement and the vibrancy of colors to create ”living” paintings. The core of her creative endeavors is thus defined by a style she calls “alive painting”, works in which the artist uses variously textured running fluids to depict mutual interactions between different subjects. In recent years she incorporates the "Fluid2wave" color organ system generating sounds through instant image analysis and digital processing of color differences, co-developed together with engineers, in solo performances in which she performs sounds and pictures at the same time, and has been increasing her activities in overseas tours and co-performances with artists from different genres.
