Artists

Jeffrey SHAW

Born 1944 in Melbourne. Carrying out numerous experiments in art form with new media since the late 1960s while based in London and Amsterdam, and creating interactive works for visitors to participate since the late 1980s, SHAW is still active as a leading figure in the realm of media art today. His frequent collaborations with engineers and programmers have resulted in a large number of works that contain new meanings and perspectives on technology.


MA Jung-Yeon

Researcher in media art. PhD. Born in 1980, Seoul, Republic of Korea. She studied English literature, psychology, technology art, film and new media studies and holds a PhD from Tokyo University of the Arts. Her doctoral thesis "on the history of media art in Japan" is to be published in 2014.
