This work encourages visitors to create their own unique objects by putting white plastic pipes, joints and other parts together into colorful trumpet-shaped horns. Through the sound of one’s voice or breath through the horn, one can feel how the object’s shape, length, or the number of its parts, affect the way sound reverberates through the pipes. In addition to the fun of creating objects, the work inspires visitors to think about the acoustic space their own object contains, and about how that is related to the sound it makes.
