- He was accused for his disrespectful treatment of religion. "Viridiana"
also contained a rape scene and numerous prostitutes which were
considered unacceptable.

- The production company UNINCI was eliminated and Jose Munoz Fontan lost
his job for not immediately censoring "Viridiana".
The film "Viridiana" was not shown in Spain for sixteen years.
